Inspection Trips when buying Cyprus property
With our past experience in the property industry we have found that unfortunately Inspection Trips are open to misuse and it is the serious buyers who actually purchase Cyprus property who subsidise the joy-riders who want a ‘free’ holiday.
There is also the fact that usually on these trips you are with the company that bought you to Cyprus from breakfast in the morning through dinner at night up to bed-time! Your individual needs are NOT taken into account properly and you are usually taken on a pre-arranged tour of properties regardless of your criteria or budget.
We prefer to take a far more laid back position; we will have done our homework with you before you get on the plane and we will arrange to meet at a convenient time and place and show you the Cyprus property for sale that we feel will suit you, while keeping the flexibility to make changes on the hoof. We do not want to monopolise your trip so that you can maybe get a suntan round the pool as well. Buying Cyprus property should be a pleasure, not a chore!
To assist you in organising a trip to Cyprus we can help with finding a good hotel at corporate rates in your chosen location, and recommend car-hire companies. There are many cheap flights from UK to Cyprus and websites like www.opodo.co.uk and www.ebookers.com are good places to start.
If you’re going to the Famagusta area, Larnaca, or Nicosia you’ll want to fly into Larnaca. The distances from Larnaca are as follows:
- Larnaca Town: 3 miles
- Nicosia: 31 miles
- Limassol: 43 miles (this is mid-way between Larnaca and Paphos)
- Ayia Napa: 28 miles
- And just so you know, Paphos is 87 miles
If you’re going to look at properties in the area of Paphos or Polis, fly into Paphos airport. The distances from Paphos are as follows:
- Paphos Town: 9 miles
- Polis: 28 miles
- Limassol: 39 miles
- Nicosia: 88 miles
Both airports are open the entire year round. Bear in mind however that the number of flights are dramatically reduced in winter. Larnaca offers the widest selection of carriers and times as it is the largest airport on the Island.
You may well be combining your Cyprus property search with a short holiday. Car hire in Cyprus will be essential while you’re here and we would recommend www.holidayautos.co.uk and www.e-sixt.co.uk, though there are many other local firms we could suggest. Most will give you Cyprus driving maps as part of the deal.
Finally, if you purchase a Cyprus property through us, on completion of the contracts we will refund travel expenses up to a maximum 700 EURO in total.
